March at Far Horizons

February and March have been busy months here at Far Horizons. We have enjoyed lots of celebrations with our friends during the past few weeks! Valentines Day was lots of fun for all, as we celebrated the joy of sharing friendship. We celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday with a craft project from Horton Hears a Who, and listened to dozens of Seuss-i-licious stories from the master storyteller.
Mardi Gras was another great day of fun. Our children all created colorful masks adorned with sparkling craft jewels and enjoyed sharing the traditional King's Cake.

Our preschool class also listened to a Mardi Gras story before joining  in on a traditional Mardi Gras parade around their classroom.
St Patrick's Day was yet another opportunity for celebration at school.  We made leprechaun projects,  and enjoyed a treat of green and white ice cream.
Our students continue to grow in leaps and bounds. Our preschool children are becoming more independent each month. They are busy working on practical life and senatorial materials, as well as math, language, and reading  activities. They sing, dance, run, play, and even enjoy yoga!
So fun!! I can't wait to see what excitement next month brings!!
