Montessori Kindergarten - What an exciting place to be!

Writing is alive and flourishing at Far Horizons Montessori School, in Albany Georgia. Our
kindergartners, already independent readers, have discovered that they can write stories – long descriptive stories. They write about themselves, their homes, their grandparents, and even about a dying dog that is loved and missed. These stories create a snapshot of the lives of these young children during their early weeks of kindergarten.

Ms. M edits their stories, correcting their mechanics. Then, our eager young writers complete their stories by rewriting them. After sparking their interest in writing, Ms. M read them the story of The Jolly Postman and showed them how to create a project of their own - one they can build on, in their own creative way, throughout the year.

Montessori kindergarten is an exciting place to be – a place of independent study, discovery,
and a place to grow beyond one’s wildest dreams!

beginnings, blossoming independence, and lessons and memories revisited.
